East Bengal have been around for a very long time. For alomst a hundred years now. Over the years they have been a subject for countless songs, poems, stories and a couple of movies as well.
There are many songs that the Red and Gold faithfuls like to sing on matchdays or are fond of listening to. These are songs old and new, sung by amateur artists who happen to be fans to professional singers. There are pop numbers and deep, emotional pieces. But there is one song that is surprisingly wholesome and even goes trans-genre en route to capturing everything from the matchday excitement and the deep ties of identity the club has with its fans.
The song, "Bole Bole Goal", is widely acknowledged as the official theme song of East Bengal. The folk-rock piece, complete with a touching invocation followed by a fist-pumping burst of rhythm, is a treat to listen to.
