East Bengal Assistant Coach Warren Hackett suspended for four matches

EAST BENGAL WILL BE WITHOUT their assistant coach Warren Hackett for the remainder of the I-League season. There was an incident in the against Churchill Brothers on March 7 which East Bengal lost. Hackett was found to have breached the code of conduct when he allegedly used abusive language against the match officials. 

Hackett suspended for four games

Hackett's punishment is that he is banned for four matches. It also means he will be unable to be present at the dug-out of East Bengal's I-league campaign for the season as there are just four games remaining. East Bengal's title ambition took a knock recently with a dip in form in the past few games and saw them lose the top position in the table to Aizawl FC.

East Bengal's next challenge is the Kolkata derby against Mohun Bagan on April 9. East Bengal will be aiming to lay their hands on the prized I-league for the first time since they last won in the 2003/2004 season.
